Curious. Always Building.
Cloud strategist by day. Home lab builder by night.
20+ years in technology, now building at the frontier of AI.
About
Dad, builder, experimenter.
I'm the Area Vice President of Cloud at World Wide Technology, where I lead global cloud solutions architecture, helping enterprises navigate cloud strategy, AI adoption, and FinOps. I've been at WWT for seven years, growing from Practice Manager to Director to Sr. Director to AVP.
Before WWT, I spent three years at AWS helping enterprises build on Amazon's cloud, and nine years at Microsoft spanning escalation engineering and technology strategy. I earned five Circle of Excellence awards at Microsoft and haven't slowed down since.
Now I'm building on the AI frontier. Home lab infrastructure. AI-native products under 29AI. I document what I learn in public through my Substack, including the stuff that doesn't work.
Outside of work, I love fitness, hiking, or chasing the next thing that reminds me I am alive. My most important job is being a good husband to Christia and a present father to Harper and Sawyer. That's what all of this is for.
20+ years designing and leading cloud strategy for enterprises at scale.
Building with AI, not just using it. Home lab infrastructure, AI-native products, applied systems.
Whether it's jumping from a plane or taking on a challenge in the wilderness, I chase the moments that make me feel most present.
Husband to Christia, father to Harper and Sawyer. Everything else is in service of this.
I was a Big Brother to Trevion Gill for 12 years. He passed away, and I carry that with me. I was honored as an inaugural Game Changer by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri in 2026. The work continues.

What I'm building outside the day job.
Don't Touch It
A reaction game for iPhone with one rule: do exactly what it says. More than twenty rapid-fire challenges built to bait the exact mistake you were just warned about, with fake buttons, misleading labels and colours that swap the instant you commit. Clear them all and an endless tower mode unlocks, where the TNT block is clearly marked and you will still drop it. No ads, no accounts, no network, the whole game runs offline.
PickleSpin
A pickleball career game for iPhone that plays the real sport: side-out scoring, kitchen-aware play, the two-bounce rule, all with one-thumb swipes. Climb a 20-stop tour ladder through nine rival archetypes, in singles or doubles with an AI partner who never poaches your ball. No pay-to-win, no energy timers, ads only between matches. Designed and built solo with AI pair-programming, first serve to App-Store-ready in two days.
Bloomlines
A cozy logic-puzzle game for iPhone: connect flower pairs so every inch of the garden gets watered. 480 uniquely-solvable puzzles across 12 chapters, five twist mechanics, and a collectible botanical album illustrated with real 19th-century plates. Calm on purpose: no timers, no lives, no pressure. Designed and built solo with AI pair-programming, prototype to content-complete in days.
Halulu.ai
An open benchmark measuring how often AI models fabricate facts and citations, testing whether they’re honest rather than smart. Ran weekly for five months across 25 models and 6 providers, grading 22,946 answers. The finding: price doesn’t predict honesty. The cheapest model tested had the lowest hallucination rate, beating a flagship costing 36× more. Retired with the full dataset published.
WellPrompted.AI
Practical prompt engineering, no jargon. Built to help people get more out of AI than a basic search query.
29AI, LLC
My solo holding company. I'm building a portfolio of profitable AI products outside the corporate structure. Long-term ownership over short-term comfort.
The Big Brain
Custom home AI infrastructure built on a Mac mini M4 Pro. Local models, automation, experiments running around the clock. This is where I figure things out before writing about them.
Property Portfolio
Built and operated a portfolio of 49 rental properties, short-term rentals, and a property management business. Ran it profitably for years, then sold the entire portfolio. Built it from scratch, ran it lean, walked away on my terms.
SosoHip.com
Soso & Hip Run, an endless runner built for pure fun. Tap to jump, hold to soar. No business model, no roadmap. I just wanted to ship something fun.
When-ly.com
Daily time-travel trivia. You get a historical event and a pivot year, then guess before or after. By level ten the window narrows from centuries down to a single year.
Jack in the Lab
I write about what I'm learning.
I write about AI experiments, cloud strategy, and what I'm building. That includes the parts that don't work; those are usually the posts worth reading.
